2/5/17: Sunday Night 1987 - M83

ARIGO MUSIC'S DAILY SONG SUGGESTION

Who needs Spotify, Apple Music, or Pandora? Well we all do, but here's OUR song suggestion of the day:

Sunday Night 1987 - M83

In 2016, the French band best known for "Midnight City," M83, put out Junk, an eclectic album full of 80s influence. This comes as no surprise as frontman Anthony Gonzalez has repeatedly credited the 80s as the possible peak of all music, and has stated his fear that there is not much hope for the future of music and creating new sounds. So here we are with his own music taking us back to the decade of his liking.

The songs on Junk give the listener a feeling of dreaming or floating through space, many having an atmospheric quality to them. The last song on the album and Sunday evening's Song of the Day, appropriately titled "Sunday Night 1987," wraps up a busy night with soft piano notes and vocals complimented by a mesmerizing harmonica. So whether you're going to bed happy, sad, or indifferent, let this song put a smile on your face and take you back to a Sunday night in 1987. Enjoy.
